Description:
Join us on a cocoa farm adventure at the Hacienda Cacao & Mango, located in the lowlands of the Churute area. Along the way, we will make a few stops to admire the views of the Cajas National Park and the Andes mountains (depending on the weather). Upon arrival, a hospitable family will welcome us and show us around their farm. You will have the opportunity to taste the fresh cacao bean pulp and learn about the cacao harvesting and the artisanal chocolate making process. You will also be able to create your own chocolate bar from the cacao tree to a delicious hot chocolate drink. A local tour guide will be with us and share the history of cacao. You will also get to sample different kinds of chocolate. Before we head back to Cuenca, you can unwind in the hammocks or wander along the farm trails, where you can spot some exotic birds and try various fruits and products from the hacienda.

We will provide a driver to get you to the cocoa Farm, there you will have a local tour guide that will lead you on the tour.
