Description:

 

This is a day full of contrasts. We start driving through the evergreen and rich ranchland of the Tarqui Valley. The first stop will be at one of the most important historical places of the independence battles, from where you will be able to appreciate the beautiful views of the Andes landscape. 

 

Then, we continue to the waterfalls of El Chorro de Giron, an amazing cloud forest area covered in bromeliads, orchids, and soft green moss. Here, you will hike 20 minutes through the lush vegetation to reach the first cascade.

Then we will drive to Busa lake where we will do a short hike around the rim where you will be able to enjoy the beautiful views.

 

We will stop for lunch at a local restaurant and return to Cuenca.
