Explore the remarkable Inca ruins, including the prominent "Sun's Temple" and its surrounding courtyards, terraces, and other archaeological remnants.

Following a satisfying lunch at a local restaurant, we will proceed on the Pan-American highway towards Riobamba. Along the route, we will make a stop at Colta, a charming town that holds historical significance as the site of Ecuador's first Spanish-founded city. Don't miss the opportunity to visit "Balbanera," the country's first Catholic church built by the Spanish settlers.

Day 2: Riobamba - Baños - Route of the Waterfalls

Embark on a scenic journey from Riobamba to Baños along the picturesque Avenue of the Volcanoes, offering awe-inspiring views of Tungurahua, Altar, and Chimborazo, weather permitting. Upon reaching Baños, we'll visit the renowned Tree House, famous for its "End of the World" swing, captured in the National Geographic Photo Contest winner picture of 2014. Continuing our adventure, we'll explore the captivating "Route of the Waterfalls," with multiple stops along the way. Marvel at the grandeur of the impressive "Pailon del Diablo" waterfall, ranked among Ecuador's top ten largest, as we embark on a 45-minute downhill hike for an up-close experience. For the adventurous, a cable car ride awaits to witness the stunning Manto de la Novia waterfall. Additional zip-line activities are available for an extra cost. After a day filled with excitement, check in at your hotel, and enjoy the evening at the hot springs or explore the city and its surroundings at your own pace.

Next, a short uphill hike will lead us to the awe-inspiring Inchinduris viewpoint, offering panoramic vistas of the majestic Amazon and the enchanting Pastaza River. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, where you can savor the flavors of Allampaco, a traditional dish featuring steam-cooked tilapia fish wrapped in bijao leaves. Continuing our expedition, we will venture deeper into the forest to visit the captivating Hola Vida waterfall. To conclude our day, we will make a stop at a nearby establishment, where you will witness the captivating process of transforming cocoa beans into a delectable treat, culminating in the enjoyment of a piping-hot cup of pure, rich chocolate.
